Last Saturday we took on our first big landscaping project - a patio extension. Our good friend, Mike, helped us out since we were pretty cluless, and it turned out awesome! We've been working on the prep work for the past week, and boy was it challenging! We had to transplant quite a bit of dirt from the rest of our yard, to the patio site, and let me tell you, we don't have normal, nice, soft dirt around here. First, we had to use a pick axe to soften the dirt, and I can't even tell you how much rock we had to dig out to get just a little bit of dirt to move. It was tedious and excrutiating, but worth every sore muscle! I'm so excited for the kids to be able to run and play on it! Thanks, Mike!
