New House!!!!

When we first started our house search over a month ago, I had no idea the roller coaster it would be. I don't know if this is how it is for everyone, if we are overly picky, or if it's the crazy Las Vegas real estate market. But it has been so stressful and there have been so many ups and downs! We were never quite satisfied with anything, or better yet, nothing was ever perfect enough for us. I can't say this house is perfect by any means, but we are satisfied. After looking at every new home community and every resale home in a large area of Las Vegas for the past month and a half, we feel that this is our best bet. It has many perks and will be a wonderful home and community for our family. Since the house was already comlete and we had no choices in flooring and colors (not to mention the stark-white walls!), there are several things we are excited to do to the place. Best of all, even though we just signed papers today, we will most likely close next week and be able to move in next weekend! That is, if we can get everything packed and ready to go. We've been told that almost the whole cul-de-sac will be closing next week as well, and that there are a couple of other families. I'm excited to meet my new neighbors! Anyway, enjoy the pictures and let me know what you all think!

The front view
The left side of the cul-de-sac
The right side of the cul-de-sac
View of living/formal dining rooms as you walk in the front door. To the left is the entrance to the family room; the door in the formal dining room leads to the kitchen.
Stairway to . . .upstairs! Ooh, aahh!
Nice dusty kitchen; it's a pretty small kitchen compared to most others we've seen, but I'm sure we'll manage.
Dining nook next to the kitchen
Kitchen and family room (with Jaxon and his signature "arm-swinging" run! Yes, it comes with ALL kitchen appliances, which was one of those perks I was mentioning.
These high windows in the living room make the room feel so open and bright!

Our lovely back yard! It's actually a decent size for Las Vegas and I've been told that it looks smaller when there's nothing there. We have 180 days to landscape it all! Any suggestions?
The loft at the top of the stairs - we have so many ideas for this area!
The master bedroom with my kids and cute nieces.
Walk-out balcony off the master bedroom. Notice our gorgeous desert view! That will eventually be a school and a park but not for a few years at least.
Master bath.

I think it is a perfect sized kitchen. That is what I want. Less to clean:) The house looks beautiful. I love the rock.

Awesome...especially since it is closer to us now. Cool bar for the kids to use in the kitchen--you'll like that! It is fun to have a home no one has lived in. Your kids will be the 1st to throw up on the carpet!

Nothing wrong with the size of that kitchen. I'm jealous that it is brand new because there will be no one else's dirt or germs to contend with. Good choice!
