Jacob's Birthday

December 3rd was Jacob's birthday (he's nine now!) and on the 4th we celebrated it by having a birthday party at an indoor mini golf place. As you can see from the pics, it has black lights everywhere and the paints are so vivid and bright. It was so much fun and definitely the easiest birthday party we've ever thrown. I didn't have to lift a finger and just enjoyed watching the kids have a blast.

As you can see, everything glowed so bright! It was so trippy!

A group shot next to the lion. Check out the painting in the back - I love the brightness!

This is Jacob with cutie-pie Kate.

Jacob requested the huge Costco chocolate fudge cake. This boy has great taste!

After golfing and pizza, this guy performed a comic/magic show. He was so hilarious and the kids were so into his act. OK, I admit I was even cracking up!

A group shot of everyone enjoying cake!
I love my little Jacob and can't believe he is nine! That just sounds so old and grown-up. My life would certainly be much less entertaining and fun without him around! I love that in his old age he is getting more and more lovey and cuddly. When I come into his class at school to help out, he runs right up to me, hugs me, and kisses me right in front of everyone. And at night he loves for me to lay in bed with him, snuggle, sing a song, give a back tickle, etc. He is such a confident kid and has a million different sides to his personality: he loves sports, school (especially math), girls, races, conducting experiments, being bossy, and is so super talented at anything he can build. He got quite a few lego sets for his birthday and had them all done in a day. His brain continues to amaze me and I am so excited to see what this kid grows up to do for a profession because he is excited about and talented at so many things. I love you, Jakey!

9 years old? I still remember going to visit him when you brought him home from the hospital. Glad he had such a great birthday.
