For those of you who know me, you know how ugly and forsaken I think Vegas is. It's very tough for me to find scenic beauty here (duh, I'm from Oregon), and I really do try. However, a very rare occasion occured and I found something beautiful, something that made me smile every day as I drove up the street to my house. This fall, on this particular street, the leaves turned this gorgeous, bright red. I have to admit that I am grateful for my neighborhood that banned palm trees so I could witness this sight every fall! Yes, for now they are skinny baby trees, but in the years to come they will grow and be even more breathtaking!

When those trees grow up I'm sure they will be even more beautiful. You'll have to come up with a special name for "the avenue of trees".
I love those trees too, Kim. Fall is such a beautiful season and you don't see much of it in Vegas, so I'm glad we have a little bit of it in our community.
Glad you were able to see some fall leaves. That is one season that is spectacular here in NY.
These are the things that get me through yet another year in Vegas! Thanks for the reminder that beauty can be found anywhere, even in drab desserty Vegas
