For those of you who have never lived in Las Vegas, let me explain the strange, yearly phenomenon called a "Pumpkin Patch." Since we have no vegatation here in Vegas, and therefore no real pumpkin patches, we create them. You see them all over the city this time of year, where someone takes an empty lot, fills it with hay and pumpkins, and constructs a mini carnival. And there you have a "Pumpkin Patch." This year we finally caved to the Vegas way and decided to give it a try. My great excuse was that my mom and step-dad were in town and I thought it would be a fun thing to do with Grandma and Grandpa. But then again, who needs an excuse to go have some fun? I was surprised, because what I thought would be a lame, wanna-be carnival actually turned out to be a blast! Maybe this is the beginning of a new Cecil tradition!
