Busy Weekend

Last Friday was such a fun day! Jaxon and I threw a Valentine's party with a bunch of our friends. A couple weeks ago I suggested that we have a cookie decorating party and Jaxon just ran with it. He talked and talked about our party and just would not let it go. He looked forward to it so much that just about every day he would ask about it and want to buy things for it. That is why we had it so early in the month....I didn't think I could take another week of his constant jabber and questions about the party. I wish we could have invited everyone we know, but it felt like my house was overflowing with the 15 kids that came. To me, it doesn't get much better than a room full of happy, excited little children!

Brookly decorating her Valentine bag. She was so creative! I loved watching her decorate her cookies too!
The kids lined up to pass our their Valentines.

Jaxon and Grace were inseparable as usual. Even with so many other friends, Jaxon stuck to her like glue.

The day before, my mom helped me make (OK, I wasn't much help really) over 100 cookies for the kids to decorate. And I had an absurd amount of decorations and sprinkles for the kids to create with.

More cookie decorating

Cute Jaelyn!

Ethan was so funny....he just kept dipping his knife and licking the frosting off. When the frosting was limited, he would just wipe the frosting OFF his cookie so he could lick it off his knife.

On Saturday Tori and I ran a 5K with our friends, Linda and Emma. I was so proud of Tori for finishing strong and running through the pain! We only had 2 weeks to prepare and had fun running together often during those 2 weeks. I was super proud of Linda and Emma as well! Linda is a work-out-aholic, but has never run before this 5K and she only had one week to get herself ready. As for me, I thoroughly enjoyed running this 5K and experiencing it all with some of my very favorite people! What's a race without some exciting characters?! Had to get a shot with Elmo and the CareBear for Grace and Jaxon.

My mom had fun getting up close and personal with Marie Osmond while we were running.

Tori as she was crossing the finish line. What a stud!

You can't run a race without a cheering section....and our cheering section was my mom!

Looks like so much fun. The cookies and the 5k. Addy loves to eat the frosting too. No cookie for her.
