Last Tuesday Jaxon turned four! We spent the day telling him what a big boy he is now that he is four. So Wednesday morning he says, "Mom, I'm still little. I'm supposed to be a big boy now that I'm four." Like he expected to wake up Wednesday morning and be big like his brothers and sister. Too cute!

I can't describe how madly in love I am with this little boy! He is my little buddy all day long and I feel naked without him by my side at all times. He is the snuggliest little thing and still loves to reach up and touch my cheeks for comfort, something he's been doing since he was a tiny baby. He tells me all the time how beautiful I look and every Sunday when I'm dressed up for church he tells me I look like a princess. Jaxon fills our house with so much noise - he screams, laughs, yells, cries, whines, squeals - and I know I will miss it when he is too grown up like the older kids. I'm sure I baby him way too much, usually because I'm in a hurry and it's just faster to just do things for him instead of waiting for him to learn and do it on his own. But so often he exerts his independence and does something I had no idea he could do. He is an amazing kid and I feel so blessed to be his mom!
This was my silly attempt at a turtle cake. It wasn't exactly planned - I just looked at my round cakes on the top of the stove and thought how easy it would be to make them into a turtle and Jaxon loved the idea.
