This is a warning: Please be aware before you read on that this is my latest bragging session for one of my children! So read on at your own risk!
Last week Tori was awarded a citizenship award in her class. I was pretty impressed by this, as there are 32 students in her class and this is only the second month of school for this year. To me that means she is a pretty top student!
Last week and this week student elections have been going on at school. Each fifth grade teacher chose a couple of students from their class to assist all day with the elections and Tori was one of the chosen students in her class. She had to be trained on the voting system and then help other students (especially the younger ones) vote. I was proud of her for this because Tori's teacher said that she had to trust these students to miss all day of class but still make up all of their work. Today is the final elections and she is assisting with it again and was excited all morning to be doing it.
Tori has a new friend at school, and Matt and I were talking to this girl's big sister. I said to her,
"This is Tori's Dad." She thought for a second and then said, "OH! She's that cute little girl that comes over and has the most polite manners!" Of course this made me a proud mother as well! I'm so glad I have a daughter that constantly tries to do her best, and especially when I'm not around! Tori is truly a one-of-a-kind little girl and I'm so happy to be her mom!

Thats so cute about Tori! You guys have such an incredible family! I am bummed it's not VEGAS! But the good thing is, there are sending us to the best program, which means France must be pretty cool. :) I guess we'll take California. WAYYYY better than Ohio or Wyoming which we thought we'd get. We sure miss you guys.
Congrats to Tori! I don't think you have to apologize for bragging about your kids....it's a mothers job to brag about them! Tori is definately a neat girl! BTW, it's nice to know I'm not the only mom out there plying my kids full of treats. I know some people who make their kids pick ten pieces of candy from the loot and then give the rest away! If you ask me that STINKS!!!!!!!! Anyhow, miss your blog updates!
She is an all around winner. Glad you have her.
Way to go Tori!! Following in her mothers footsteps is what she is doing. We love you and keep up the good work. Uncle Steve
Of course Tori would get this award. She is one great girl!! Congrats Tori!!
