Last Monday was the kids' first day of the new school year! I'm not sure where the summer has gone, but apparently it's over. Bummer! I'm definitely not a mom that celebrates the kids going back, but I am excited for them and the new experiences and adventures this new year will bring for them. They are attending the brand new school that is just over our backyard wall so it is close enough for them to walk (although they were a little hot walking home in 107 degrees last week). They have both loved their teachers and meeting new friends so they are eager to return tomorrow for their second week.

SOO HOT! The weather that is. Glad they can just walk around the corner to school.
