My Crazy Sleeper

I've been meaning to post these picutres for a while now, but there's always something more exciting to post. I guess it's been a boring week for us, so here they are. Jaxon has been spoiled most of his life becuase either mom or dad lays down with him until he falls asleep every night. But for a while now, we try to sneak out before he's completely asleep. And then where does he escape to? Big Sister, of course! Tori is such a trooper to put up with it and usually we don't know he is in there until we are on our way to bed and go to check on him.

The upside to sleeping with Jaxon is that he is such a snuggler and what mom doesn't love to cuddle? However, the downside is that he finds comfort by touching and rubbing someone's skin as he drifts off to sleep. And let me tell you, if I'm in an irritable mood, it can be very annoying! Lately if I pull away from him he says, "Mommy, I want to pet you." Nice. Like I'm a dog or something. But then that's just too cute so I laugh and give in.

This habit of Jaxon's started when he was a tiny baby and he would rub all over my face as he drifted off to sleep. He went through a stage where he would stick his full hand in my mouth and rub around to feel all over inside my mouth. And then there was the stage where he stuck his fingers up my nose (and would literally drift off to sleep with them stuck up there!). And if I pulled away, he would get angry with me and demand that he leave his hands there. I tried stuffed animals, dolls, etc., but all he wanted was a human body. Anyway, just thought that was a cute Jaxon quirk to share.

It was so funny to walk in and see this. Notice that the dog is strategically placed between Jaxon and Tori. She said she got irritated by Jaxon rubbing her arms and face so she stuck Belle in between them. Clever!

I think this was the first night I discovered him in her room. What a little sneaker!
