Fun in the Snow

This past Monday the kids had a day off school. So we headed up to Mt. Charleston to have some fun in the snow. A storm passed through over the weekend and left a perfect layer of snow for us. It's amazing that this winter wonderland is only 30 minutes from our house!

The kids couldn't eat enough snow....it was like it was made of sugar!

Our snowgirl. Yes, she has pigtails.
And as you can see, it was a perfectly warm day and the kids ended up shedding their coats and hats.
Jacob after an awesome wipeout. This trip down left him with a sore tailbone for a couple of days.

Jaxon even attempted all by himself.

What a gorgeous day on a gorgeous mountain. It was so serene and quiet...we were the alone the entire time we were there. Such a perfect day.

Jacob taking a break from digging out an ice cave to enjoy a delicious snack of snow.

Tori and Jaxon take a ride together.

I was actually quite surprised at how daring Tori was. Usually she is a total party pooper in the snow, but she had a lot of fun this time.

We actually never went up there this season...how sad it that? It is only 30 min...sheesh! Looks like you had a great time!
