All things JACOB

When I downloaded the pictures sitting on my camera, I realized they were all of Jacob and his recent happenings. So I thought I would share what is up with him.

In April Jacob was bit by a neighbor's dog. It was some type of little terrier that pulled off its leash, ran straight at Jacob and bit his calf. It was slow to heal and believe it or not, that triangle piece is now a scar. The dog's canine tooth sunk pretty deep. Stinkin' little dogs. They can be so vicious - anyone who knows my little Belle would agree. ;)

In May he received the citizenship award at school. At his school, a specific character trait is focused on each month and the teacher chooses a student who demonstrates that particular trait. In May it was Leadership and when he received this award, his teacher made the comment to me, "Leadership...isn't that perfect for Jake?"

Jacob played flag football.....again and Matt coached him.....again. He loves playing, even though his team stunk!

This is Jacob's pride and joy - his pumpkin plant. He begged for a pumpkin plant when we were at the nursery choosing what to put in the garden. After a month or so, these huge, gorgeous, yellow flowers started blooming every morning. He got so excited to see them, made me take this picture, and then begged me to post it on the blog. He loves gardening, not so much the work of it, but observing the growth and change of each plant.

Jacob also received the Presidential Fitness Award at the end of the school year. From what I have been told, a student receives this award if they pass each physical fitness test that is conducted in P.E. In grades 1-4, he was one of only about six students and the only boy to receive it.

When my sister got married, all the kids' beds were full of visitors. Hence, Jacob and Jaxon ended up on an air mattress in my room. I thought it was so cute how Jaxon is curled up in Jacob's legs and I had to capture it. At least they like each other in their sleep. Too cute!

Hams has to mention Jacob at least once a day around here. It's good to see what he is up to.
