I can't believe it's that time of year again! The summer has been too crazy and hectic so it seemed to fly by way too fast. I'm not a mom who looks forward to getting rid of her kids on the first day of school, but I think the kids were more than ready to get rid of me!! They have been so excited at the prospect of a new school, which means new friends. And of course riding the bus... They have begged for so long to ride the bus, but I guess I'm just one of those stuck-up moms who doesn't want her children influenced by the rowdy bus kids (especially in Vegas!). But since we are in a newer area, I decided to finally give it a try. They've liked it so far, but I'm waiting for the first bully story to come home...
Their first day was great. Jacob came home saying it was "the best day ever," which means a lot coming from him. Tori, of course, came home already dreaming of day two. She couldn't wait to go back and was mostly excited that she had homework on the first day! I don't understand that girl, but her enthusiasm for school will serve her well later in her life!
So now their first week is over with no major trauma. Life is good and I have loved the extra time I've had to finally get the house finished. Jaxon on the other hand, has missed them so much and constantly asks, "Where'd Jacob go? Where'd Tori go?" And he lives for the afternoon when we meet the kids at the bus stop.
