Does anyone else see the resemblance?

I should probably add some freckles to make the resemblance a little more clear, but every time I look at Jacob lately I think of this MAD magazine dude. It makes me giggle every time I think of it and it makes me want to add some big ol' freckles to his cute face to go with his missing front tooth and big ears. I must add that poor Jacob did not lose this tooth in the regular way a normal six-year-old loses his front tooth. Jacob's zest for life sometimes causes mishaps or "accidents." In this case, while playing, he face-planted on the carpet and bloodied his mouth up pretty bad (and my brand new carpet I might add). His teeth cut up the inside of his mouth and he had two fat lips that were torn up. His left front tooth was shoved back so that is was pointing to the back of his mouth. Usually I'm pretty good at photographing the evidence of this sort of accident, but sadly, I didn't get a picture. It may sound morbid, but I feel like I have to document all of Jacob's injuries so in the future people will believe me about how often he got hurt. Anyway, the tooth was severed enough that it died and started to turn gray. But it wasn't loose enough to pull out on our own. So we hauled him into the dentist and Jacob was so brave as the doctor numbed him up and then pulled with some plier-looking tool like it wasn't even loose at all. It hurt to watch. Poor Jacob. I was all choked up and I wanted to jump up and stop the dentist from hurting my baby! But once it was out, Jacob was all smiles (so were we once we saw his new grin) and was excited for the tooth fairy!
